We are excited to announce the 2019 SRCA Growth Grants (SGG) competition. Growth Grants are internal awards granted on a competitive basis for projects involving Scholarship, Research and Creative Activities (SRCA). The SGG program is intended to support SRCA at Sheridan by providing more opportunities for faculty members to pursue their scholarly, research and creative passions.
New this year, applicants may request funding in any amount up to $10,000. Funds will be available beginning in the Spring/Summer 2019 semester and must be spent by March 31, 2020. Also new this year is an application form to make it easier for applicants to provide the details of their proposed project. Learn more about this year’s processes and guidelines.
We are also offering SSHRC Explore Grants again this year. The application and adjudication process for SSHRC Explore Grants will run in parallel to the SGG process. SSHRC Explore Grants will have the same proposal format and guidelines, and will be reviewed by the same committee.
Proposal Deadline
Proposals must be submitted electronically to srca@sheridancollege.ca by January 23, 2019 at 5 p.m.
Information/Q&A Sessions
For those who would like further guidance on submitting a proposal, we invite you to attend an information session. Information sessions will be held on the following dates:
- Tuesday, December 4 (Davis Campus – H152a), 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
- Wednesday, December 5 (Trafalgar – Scholars and Creators Hub, Library), 10 a.m to 11:30 a.m.
- Tuesday, December 11 (HMC – Creativity Boardroom, B220b), 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
