On Thursday, November 1, 2018, Sheridan College Police Foundations hosted the 5th Annual Inter-Collegiate Physical Readiness Evaluation for Police (PREP) Challenge. PREP is an Ontario police fitness test required for hire. Applicants must complete the physical test in under two minutes and 37 seconds.
Over twenty athletes from several colleges competed in the PREP Challenge. Police recruiters from various police services were also in attendance. Sheridan had outstanding performances, taking first place in the female division with a time of 1:43 by Jenna Downs and taking second and third place in the male division with times of 1:18 and 1:19 by Alex Daigle and Caelan Hopkins.
This event could not have been possible without the help of our student volunteers from the Practical Nursing and the Police Foundations Program. Congratulations to all participants!
