Sheridan will welcome a CQAPP Audit Panel on January 24 and 25.  The purpose of the quality assurance audit is to review Sheridan’s quality assurance mechanisms to assess how well we meet specific standards set by the province.

All Ontario colleges are required to undergo this quality assurance audit every five years.  This will be Sheridan’s third audit.  We welcome this process as an opportunity to recognize and celebrate our quality assurance processes, and also to review and reflect on the processes that support quality and accountability, two key pillars of our Academic Plan.

During the site visit the Audit Panel will meet with faculty, students, alumni and Professional Advisory members connected with selected programs, which include Personal Support Worker, Office Administration Executive, Architectural Technology, Game Level Design (Graduate Certificate), Media Fundamentals and Environmental Technician.  Additionally, they will meet with the Board of Governors, senior leaders and front-line staff representatives.

The audit is not focused on assessing the quality of any individual program, but rather on the implementation of quality assurance mechanisms and their effectiveness, as well as the process for reviewing and updating these mechanisms to ensure ongoing quality.

We are excited to share with the audit panel members Sheridan’s commitment to quality.

Melanie Spence-Ariemma
Provost and Vice President Academic
