The Faculty of Applied Science and Technology is pleased to announce the launch of the Low-Carbon Building Solutions (LCBS) website – lowcarbonbuilding.sheridancollege.ca.
Thanks to support from the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development (now the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities), Sheridan College, with support from Conestoga College, developed a multi-disciplinary curriculum to improve low-carbon building skills. This curriculum, delivered through an access-controlled website, is available to graduates of degrees in engineering, and graduates of diplomas, advanced diplomas and graduate certificates.
The low carbon materials are adaptable as full- or part-time courses by other Ontario postsecondary institutions. The end goal of the LCBS project is to provide Ontario employees with low-carbon building solutions knowledge and skills leading to a net reduction in Ontario carbon emissions.
