Sheridan Reads is returning this semester with a community-wide reading experience featuring Black Leopard, Red Wolf, the new epic fantasy novel by Marlon James, internationally celebrated and Man Booker Prize-winning author of A Brief History of Seven Killings.
Sheridan Reads is honoured to welcome Marlon James as he releases his new novel, which Neil Gaiman calls “a fantasy world as well-realized as anything Tolkien made.” James will be featured in conversation with Sheridan Professor and Giller Prize-nominated author Thea Lim. A Q&A session and book signing will follow.
Event Details:
- Date: Monday, March 4
- Time: 7 p.m.
- Location: The Marquee (Trafalgar Campus)
While the book will officially hit shelves on February 5, 2019, critics have already been praising the surreal fantasy epic that centres on the search for a missing boy in a fictional Africa.
This exciting event is free and open to the public. Tickets are available through Eventbrite at Sheridan Reads – An Evening with Marlon James. Seating is limited, so please register early to avoid disappointment.
Plus, check out Sheridan Reads’ new Instagram page! We will be running a scavenger hunt for students, enabling them to win free copies of Black Leopard, Red Wolf, and we’ll also be hosting a screening of Black Panther on February 21. For more details, please see sheridanreads.sheridancollege.ca.
