I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Tracey Ens to the position of Associate Vice President, Business Services, effective February 25, 2019. In this new position, Tracey will take on a forward-thinking role in enhancing Sheridan’s procurement and ancillary services, which play a key part in supporting Sheridan’s strategic priorities.
Tracey joins us with over 18 years of experience in Procurement and Project Implementation roles in the Higher Education sector. In her most recent position of Director, Procurement Services at Wilfrid Laurier University, she led various teams through the execution of several strategic initiatives that resulted in process and technological improvements within procurement, while simultaneously strengthening overall business performance. She also partnered extensively across the organization on projects aimed at enhancing university-wide processes, systems, and productivity. Some of her many successes in this role included assisting a start-up company with the streamlining and enhancement of an RFP evaluation software that is now used widely throughout the public sector, and leading a cross-functional team in the business case development and implementation of a new Procure to Pay system.
Tracey’s earlier roles within postsecondary institutions have included that of Manager, Procurement at Wilfrid Laurier, and Senior Buyer – Research at the University of Waterloo. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a commitment to building relationships and working with people to align goals, advance organizational objectives, and achieve quality results.
Tracey holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Waterloo, as well as a Bachelor of Theology degree. She has achieved both the Certified Professional in Supply Management from the U.S. (CPSM) and the Canadian Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designations.
I feel fortunate to be adding Tracey to the Finance and Administration Leadership team. Please join me in welcoming her to Sheridan!
Sincerely,
Wayne Steffler
