Following a review of the organizational structure, I am very pleased to announce a number of changes taking place in the Facilities team.
Chad Mansell has accepted the position of Director, Design and Construction. Chad was previously Manager, Facilities Projects where he led a large team of dedicated staff to successfully deliver a vast range of new construction and renovation projects across all of Sheridan’s campuses. Chad has been with Sheridan for 13 years, and is a qualified Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with detailed knowledge of design and construction projects and processes, along with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors.
Herb Sinnock has accepted the position of Director, Sustainability. Herb was previously Manager, Sustainability, where his leadership and strengths in innovative practices led to Sheridan being internationally recognized as a leader in sustainability. Herb has been with Sheridan since 2009, both in the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology and on the Sustainability team. Herb has a solid background in consulting, research and energy program development and delivery. He is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), has a Master of Science in Energy Engineering, and is a Certified Energy Manager.
A new position of Director, Facilities Operations and Service Innovation has been created to oversee the Operations team. This new position will strategically lead the team to build a customer-centric focus and develop innovative approaches to service delivery. We will commence a recruitment process for this position shortly. Until a new leader is in place, I am very pleased that Herb Sinnock has agreed to take on the position, in addition to his new role, for a four-month period.
Chad, Herb and the new Director of Facilities Operations and Service Innovation, along with Pitsa Davey and Colm Lynn, will all report directly to me.
In order to build on the strengths of our team at the campus level, our leadership in the Manager, Operations roles are now Gord Ide, Jaime Cowan and Danilo Perucho. Gord will take the lead at the Davis Campus, Jaime at Trafalgar, and Danilo will continue at HMC. Gord, Jaime and Danilo will all report to Herb Sinnock for the next four months.
I am confident that these changes will ensure that the Facilities team is well positioned to continue to serve the Sheridan community.
Kind regards,
Michelle McCollum
