STEP Forward is a transition program for students registered with Accessible Learning attending Sheridan in the Fall of 2014. The purpose of STEP Forward is to provide an opportunity for students to experience the college life, which will help foster a smoother first year transition. Students will attend a two-day, in-class session of STEP Forward as well as complete a four-week series of online learning modules. During the in-person sessions, students will participate in interactive activities to discover campus resources; experiment with technology; explore learning strategies; tour the campuses; maximize their academic and personal potential and meet with other students. The online component will include extension activities for self-advocacy, learning, technology and stress and anxiety management skills.
