Orientation activities were in full swing last week as 8,000 first-year students were welcomed to Sheridan. Students participated enthusiastically in a number of different activities that ignited their school spirit. To read more about Sheridan’s orientation activities click here.
Below are just a few eye-catching highlights of the past week
- Watching Jeff Zabudsky, the President and CEO of Sheridan accept the Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS Research at Davis. Having taken the challenge, he nominated the President of Sheridan’s Student Union, the President of Sheridan’s Faculty Union (Local 244) and the President of Sheridan’s Support Staff Union (Local 245). - A Coke machine was installed at Davis that required a hug instead of change to dispense a can. Below is Joe Henry, Associate Dean of Student Success, testing out the machine:

- The Office of Security rolled out two new Patrollers at Davis and Trafalgar. These electric, segway-like vehicles are environmentally friendly and make it easy for security staff to get around campus. Keep an eye out for the new vehicles:
