On Monday, March 2, 2015, Police Foundations Faculty hosted the annual Ontario Provincial Police Diversity Symposium. The event was filled to capacity with more than 100 students participating. The symposium provided information on front-line policing and other career opportunities available with the Ontario Provincial Police. The morning included Physical Fitness Testing, Defensive Tactics and, a Healthy Lifestyle/ Recruiting workshop. During the afternoon, students rotated through mentoring sessions led by Senior Officers, Tactical Officers, Constables new to the career, and Auxiliary/Special Constables.
The symposium was a tremendous success! Thank-you to Associate Dean, Kathryn Cameron for supporting this event and Cindy Noble for supplying student volunteers from the Nursing Program to assist with participant medical clearances.
