The Centre for Teaching and Learning’s desire to integrate the Digital Learning Innovation and Faculty Development teams has led to a merging of the two portfolios into one Educational Development team under Cherie Werhun. This recognizes the integral interplay of decisions around curriculum and delivery approaches in the learning environment, with technology offering a range of resources and tools, and a foundation for building 21st-century skills.
Moving forward, CTL is adjusting its management structure. CTL would like to thank Michael Evans for his seven years of service leading the Digital Learning Innovation portfolio. Michael’s passion for education and for the possibilities offered by technology to enhance the learning environment has been inspirational and has guided many CTL initiatives. As a result of his work, Sheridan’s Learning Management System is ahead of the game. Michael’s critical eye, keen observations and broad experience are highly valued. We wish him all the best as his contract comes to an end.
If you have any questions about how this change may affect initiatives with which you are involved, please reach out to Cherie or to me.
Sincerely,
Joan Condie
Dean, Centre for Teaching and Learning
